Parcel service:
The shipping of parcel service eligible goods within Germany and Austria is free of shipping costs.
Your ordered goods will be shipped as a parcel by GLS (Germany) or DPD (Austria) depending on the country.
For all other countries, shipping costs below a shopping cart value of € 59.00 are € 9.90 each.
Forwarding agency:
From a shopping cart value of € 179.00, we deliver traffic light umbrellas and bases over 30 kg free of shipping costs.
Below that, shipping costs of € 39.90 are incurred for shipping by freight forwarding.
Unfortunately, vouchers cannot be added to the order afterwards due to accounting reasons. We would ask you to redeem the voucher with your next order.
The invoice will be automatically sent to you by e-mail after the order is completed.
If you have not received the invoice, please check your spam folder.
If the invoice is not there either, please contact us and we will send you the invoice.

From a cart value of € 179,00 we deliver sunshades, which are sent with spedition, free of charge. Below this amount the shipping fee is € 39,90.
Many sunshades from doppler offer highest UV protection 80 (UV 801 standard) and are available in different color designs and different sizes. Also some of our umbrellas (mainly summer models) have 95% UV protection (=50+) against UVA&UVB rays.
During the ordering process you may change your order at any time. As soon as the order has shipped, though, it can only be canceled.
After you found the desired item and selected it by clicking “Add to my cart”, you can redeem your gift certificate during the check out process. Please go to “Gift Certificate” and enter your code in the according box. The amount will automatically be deducted from the total amount.
After sending the order, it will be processed and passed on to our shipping service provider (parcel service or shipping company). If your order is already on its way to you, you can refuse acceptance with parcel services - when making an appointment with forwarding agents, please make "no" appointment, otherwise you will incur extra costs. If you have already received your delivery and you wish to cancel - you must inform us in writing (by mail) or by telephone.
You bear the direct costs of the return (eg: Refusal to accept, do not like, if the order is canceled and the shipping company has already received the goods from us) of forwarding goods in the amount of 39.90 EUR. Please be sure to repack the goods in a way that they can be transported (in a cardboard box, on a pallet), otherwise the shipping company will not be able to take the items.

No, you do not need an customer account to place an order. You can order as a guest, only entering your first and last name, your billing and delivery address, as well as your phone number and email address for delivery.
As soon as you successfully placed your order, you can relax, lean back and look forward to your umbrella. You will receive an automated order confirmation mail. If you don’t receive one, please check your spam folder. If you can’t find the email there either, please contact the Online Shop team.
If a defective item has been delivered to you, we are naturally very sorry.
Please send us a picture of the defect as well as a short description by e-mail and we will immediately find a suitable solution.
Shipping by parcel service
In the case of parcel serviceable goods, you will receive the parcel number by e-mail for tracking purposes as soon as the parcel has been handed over to the shipping service provider. If you did not receive a parcel number, please check your spam folder.
If the e-mail is not there either, please contact us and we will gladly provide you with the parcel number.
Shipping by forwarding agency
Approximately 4 days after completion of the order, the shipping company will arrange a delivery date with you by telephone before delivery. If you have given an invalid phone number when ordering, please contact us so that we can give the correct phone number to the shipping company.
All doppler umbrellas have a good basic impregnation, which keeps your umbrella roof optimally tight. Nevertheless, you can upgrade accordingly if necessary and make your umbrella fit for wind and weather again with a good impregnation spray.
You will find the delivery times on the article detail page as soon as you have chosen the respective model / design / color of the article. Depending on the size and weight of the articles, the parcel can be shipped with the parcel service or the forwarding agency.
Deliveries with the parcel service take approx. 3-5 business days within Germany and Austria, for all other countries the delivery time is around 5-8 business days.
Articles, which are delivered by a forwarding agency / truck have a delivery time of about 5-8 business days to Germany and Austria, for all other countries the delivery time is around 8-14 business days. Customers, which ordered an article delivered by the forwarding agency, will be contacted by phone to define an exact delivery date. In this regard we ask you to give us your telephone number already with your order.
Please note that the date agreed between you and the forwarding agent is binding.
If the goods are not accepted at the agreed date and a second delivery is necessary, additional costs of 50 € will be charged. You will find more detailed information in our shipping information.
Care of a parasol:
If you want to clean the parasol cover, they can use soapy water or wool detergent. To do this, take a soft cloth that you moisten with pure water and gently clean the cover with it. After that, it is best to let the parasol dry in the stretched state, never in the washing machine or dryer.
For winter storage, the parasol should be completely dry to avoid mold and staining. By means of an intact protective cover, your umbrella can be optimally packed and store it in a dry, well-ventilated room (e.g.: storage room, garage or cellar).
Care of an umbrella:
To ensure that your umbrella can provide reliable protection as a faithful companion for many years to come, allow the umbrella to air dry while it is open. Once your umbrella is dry, fold it carefully and do not tighten the closure strap too tightly. If you need to clean the material, please use a soft cloth that you moisten with pure water, as detergent can remove the waterproof coating.
Germany
We send parcel serviceable goods with the transport company GLS.
Forwarding goods are sent with the Dachser forwarding company. This company will arrange a delivery date with you by telephone.
Austria and other EU countries
Parcel goods are sent by the delivery service DPD.
Forwarding goods are delivered by the transport company Gebrüder Weiß. They will arrange a delivery date with you by telephone
Although we do our utmost to produce extremely reliable sunshades by using robust, high-quality materials, damage due to wear and tear or strong wind is not covered by our warranty. In conjunction with the appropriate base (see: base table), doppler sunshades can withstand a wind speed of 4 Beaufort = moderate breeze (branches move and loose paper is lifted off the ground; approx. 20 to 28 km/h) without hesitation.
In general, it can be said that cantilever umbrellas are more susceptible to wind than center mast umbrellas, due to the shifted center of gravity. Therefore, we recommend closing the parasol when wind, rain or snow is coming up.

Please note that you only have warranty claims against the seller (dealer) from whom you purchased the item. We as the manufacturer can gladly make a damage assessment. Send us a message (description of the defect) with a picture (defective area) by mail, so that our service department can take care of it. We ask for your understanding that it may take a few days to respond to customer inquiries during peak season.
The majority of our umbrellas are constructed to withstand inversion (the umbrella being turned inside out). They can, however, should it happen, easily be folded back by closing the umbrella. This is a safety mechanism to avoid breaking the ribs.
All doppler umbrellas are technologically high quality to minimize the risk of damage from wind. To achieve this, our umbrella frames are equipped with additional flexibility. This in turn leads to the fact that the load on the mast is reduced.
Parasols:
If you have ordered from our online store, then we can repair your parasol. However, this also depends on the model and the extent of the damage. Please write us an e-mail with a detailed description of the defect, possibly also with a photo of the parasol and the defective area. In order to answer your questions in the best possible way, we need as much information (such as: an article number, model name or pictures of the glider or the defective area) as possible. If you have bought from a dealer or a hardware store, please contact the respective seller.
We ask you to consider that we cannot repair parasols, replacement covers and garden furniture of other brand manufacturers!
Umbrellas:
Yes, for orders in our online store, we do repairs on umbrellas. Please contact us or send us an e-mail (model type: e.g. Knirps X1; with a photo of the defective area, as well as the handle of the umbrella) with your request, or contact your dealer.

After you have placed your selected items in the shopping cart and the order is completed and paid, the phone number you provided will be given to the shipping company. In the next step, the shipping company will try to contact you to arrange a suitable date for delivery. Therefore, always provide a phone number where you can be reached during the day! When you make an appointment, please allow for a small time buffer in case the forwarding agent is unpunctual (traffic, longer loading activities). Furthermore, the forwarding agent is not authorized to charge you additional shipping costs or fees unless you have made special arrangements directly with the forwarding agent.
IMPORTANT: Freight forwarding deliveries are always delivered ONLY to the curb!
This means that after unloading, it is the decision of the forwarding agent whether the goods are actually carried to the front door. Normally this is not a problem, but forwarders are only human and especially with bulky deliveries it requires at least some kindness and understanding, so that the goods are not left unhappy by the forwarder. We hope that after the smooth delivery there will be enough strong hands (family members or neighbors) to bring your ordered goods to their final place.
a.) Waterproof corresponds to water-resistant and applies only to umbrella covers without a seam.
b.) Rain repellent has a water column of approx. 120 mm until it rains through. This means that light rain is kept out.
c.) Weatherproof achieves a water column of approx. 300 mm and corresponds to moderately heavy rain, but even with these umbrellas it begins to drip through after prolonged rain.
The canopy size is always measured along the ribs and not horizontally. The roof size therefore does not correspond to the actual diameter. You can find the exact information about this in each case at the product level or in the respective technical data sheet as a PDF download.
Basically, there is a replacement cover for almost all parasols models where you can remove the cover. The replacement of the parasol cover can be done in a few simple steps and is also possible without instructions. Each of our parasols comes with a corresponding description. Of course it is important to know the umbrella type, model and age of the parasol. You will find this information on your invoice or on the label of the parasol cover.
An overview of replacement covers can be found in the category parasol covers or as accessories for the respective parasol model (center mast umbrella, cantilever umbrella). If you do not find the replacement cover in our online store, you are welcome to send us your request by e-mail or contact us by phone. We will check for you if we have the needed replacement cover in stock. However, our covers do not fit parasols from other parasol manufacturers.
Our table below shows you an overview of how the individual parasol fabrics of the different light fastnesses fade after direct exposure to sunlight. In addition to conventional weathering, the sun's rays in particular fade all textiles in the long term. For this reason we advise you to pay attention to the value of light fastness when buying a parasol (middle mast or cantilever parasol). With a value of 5, for example, you will notice the first noticeable color changes only after about 80 days of sun. Basically, the higher the value, the better.

The materials we use have been tested and provide sufficient UV protection. For all articles of our production we achieve a sun protection factor between SPF 50+ and 80. The exact value depends on the one hand strongly on the color, but also on the material thickness. Nevertheless, we recommend that in addition to your own protection, you still always use a sunscreen with a sufficiently high SPF.
For the selection of your sunshade applies:
Dark colors generally offer usually higher protection against the sun. Heavy, thick and solid fabrics also ensure higher UV protection. For more detailed information on sun protection and lightfastness, see General explanation.
